MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 9, 2018--
The TEGNA Foundation, the charitable foundation sponsored by TEGNA Inc.
(NYSE: TGNA), announced today it will award 100 community grants in its
first-of-two rounds of annual community grantmaking cycles for 2018. The
grants are recommended by TEGNA’s local stations, which identify
pressing needs in their local communities and address these needs
through a combination of grantmaking, storytelling and employee
volunteerism. The recommended grants are vetted by a committee of
employees at each station, including the station general manager, and
approved by the TEGNA Foundation Board of Directors.
